BISD Schools in Improvement
Brownsville ISD had only 5 of the original 12 campuses identified by the Texas Education Agency for supports based on the 2022 accountability system. During the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, 9 campuses (the 2021 identified campuses) still went through the full Targeted School process due to participation in the 1003 Effective Schools Framework 1.5 million dollar grant awarded in the summer of 2021. The 2022 status of these schools is provided below. In addition, another 3 campuses (Garza Elementary, Russell Elementary, and Lopez ECHS) participated in the grant activities as feeder pattern campuses.
