Interim Assessment

The interim assessment (IA) is an online tool that provides actionable data to help educators improve instruction and help predict student performance on the STAAR. The interim assessment is available in two administrations during the 2020-2021 school year. STAAR Interim Assessments are available for all STAAR tested grades and subjects including Spanish. The assessments include content and language supports in English and Spanish for their respective tests. STAAR interim assessments also include refreshable braille for grades 3–8 reading, grade 8 social studies, English, I, English II, and U.S. History. Interim assessments do not include a constructed response component; therefore, speech-to-text is not available.
