Flex Spending

As part of the District’s benefits plan, we currently offer an employee-funded flexible spending account (FSA) to full-time employees hired on or before January 1 of a calendar year. Plan participants may elect an annual amount of flexible dollars to pay for eligible health care expenses, including medical or dental insurance deductibles, co-payments and out-of-pocket costs for vision and other types of care.

The district allows employees to set up a Health Care Reimbursement Account and/or a Dependent Care Assistant Account. Each account will be credited with your contributions and will be reduced by any payment made on your behalf. If eligible medical or dental expenses are less than the elected annual amount of flex dollars for that year, the balance will be forfeited.
