Poet's Corner

The Poet’s Corner venue is a fun and challenging opportunity to provide students with an understanding of poetry and a way to communicate effectively and clearly in written and oral forms. Students are inspired to compose their original poems and recite their poetry. Poetry is a synthetic and an interactive process that naturally encourages critical, creative, and higher ordered thinking. Students in grades 6th – 12th are encouraged to write poetry about compassion, fairness, citizenship, honesty, self-discipline, and respect and participate in the Poet’s Corner showcase.
