State Accountability

The accountability system is used by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to evaluate the performance of public school districts and campuses.

This system integrates district accreditation status, campus ratings, district and campus recognition for high performance and performance improvement, and campus, district, and state-level reports.

Accountability Rating System

 Accountability Reports
The new TXSchools.gov website contains interactive accountability rating summaries and detailed reports for each district, campus, and open-enrollment charter school in the state of Texas. From this site you may access the Accountability Summaries and Data Tables for Campuses or Districts. These show each campus or district's accountability rating and the information used to determine those ratings. Performance information is also available at the Region level and the State level.

Texas Academic Performance Report

The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and low income status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.

From this website you can access Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) for Campuses, Districts, Region, or State for the 2021-2022 school year. The reports are available as downloadable PDF files as well as HTML.

The School Report Card (SRC)

The School Report Card combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.

The 2021-2022 school report cards are now available.
