Texas Success Initiative

The Texas Assessment Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is the assessment instrument used to determine college readiness for non-exempt students, as required by the Texas Success Initiative. TSIA2 helps determine whether you’re ready for college-level coursework in English language arts and reading (ELAR) and mathematics

The minimum passing score requirements are as follows:

For TSIA administered January 11, 2021 and beyond

» Mathematics: 950 or Less than 950 with a diagnostic level 6
» English, Language Arts, Reading: 945 AND Essay Score Greater than or equal to 5.  OR Less than 945 AND Diagnostic level greater than or equal to 5 AND Essay score greater than or equal to 5

 

For TSIA administered prior to January 11, 2021

» Mathematics: 350
» Reading: 351
» Writing: Essay Score of 5; Essay Score of 4 and Multiple Choice of 340
