Course Syllabus
7th Grade Science
Instructor:  Mr. M. Cisneros

Student Responsibilities:  The student is responsible for keeping a notebook, bringing paper and a pen/ pencil to class everyday. The student is responsible for attending class regularly and on time. If a student is absent, it is his/ her responsibility to ask for any work missed. SUCCESS REQUIRES STUDENT COMMITMENT.

TARDINESS: The student is responsible to getting to class on time. Chronic tardiness will lead to parent notification and appropriate disciplinary action.

SUPPLIES:

            1 Composition notebook                      1 Display board: Mandatory for

            1 pocket folder                                         Pre- Ap / Gt students

            2 glue sticks

            1 package of Lysol wipes

            Map colored pencil or crayons

            Pen/ Pencil/ Paper

 CLASSROOM RULES & EXPECTATIONS:
Students must follow all rules as provided by the district code of conduct book. In addition there some simple rules to follow in my class:

1.      The student will sit in an assigned seat.

2.      The student will communicate with others with courtesy and respect. Rudeness, profanity, and harassment will not be tolerated.

3.      Students will be expected to do their own work.

4.      Always come prepared to class (w / supplies and / or homework).

5.      The teacher dismisses the students, not the bell. 

Should you fail to follow the rules, the following consequences will be served:

1. Verbal warning

2. Lunch Detention

3. Parent phone call

4. Office Referral

5. Parent Conference

            1st Six weeks: Organism Response to Environment, Ecosystems

            2nd Six weeks: Organism’s Internal Responses, Inherited and Adaptive Traits

            for Survival

            3rd Six weeks: Structure and Function of Body Systems

            4th Six weeks: Force and Motion, Relationships between Earth and Moon

            5th Six weeks: Natural Events that Change the Environment, Earth’s

            Resources

            6th Six weeks: Chemical Reactions and Compounds, Physical Properties and

            the Periodic Table
