2+        package of loose-leaf paper per six weeks          

3+        pens (blue or black)

3+        pencils (#2)

2          highlighters

1          pencil sharpener

1          set of markers

1          composition writing notebook (100 sheets)

2          pocket folder with prongs *

1          Box of Kleenex

1          Dictionary/Thesaurus for home use

1          package of 4X6 index cards for 2nd  semester research paper

1          USB flash drive

Old magazines that can be cut up for class projects

 *Classes are color-code, so if it is possible to get the designated folder color for the  designated  period, it would be greatly appreciated:

    1st   Red                5th  Purple
  3rd  Yellow            8th  Green
4th  Orange            9th  Blue

, a monthly feature in The Brownsville Herald, provides a forum for students to express their ideas on a variety of subjects. Essays are limited to 100 words and must be printed legibly or typed. Young artists may submit artwork, jokes and riddles illustrating the essay topic, but it’s not a requirement for my English class.  TEEN SPEAK is published the first Wednesday of every month.
