BUSINESS VENTURE
In this class, students work on teamwork skills by forming a business group and producing a product. Each group works on market research, analyzing data from the research, choosing a product, designing the product, advertising the product and selling it. Each member has one of the following jobs in the group, CEO, CFO, Secretary, Quality Control or Information Technologist. They work together to produce a quality product

KEYBOARDING
Students learn the basic keys during the first semester and during the second semester they learn basic word processing for documents such as letters, memos, cover sheet, and reports. Throughout the year the students learn and use proofreading skills as well.

CAREER INVESTIGATIONS
In this class endeavors to provide experiences for students to learn about themselves and identify careers of interest to them. They work in cooperative groups to learn teamwork skills and prepare a career portfolio presentation about the careers in which they have an interest. They also study job acquisition skills such as preparing an application and resume, interview questions, and interviewing skills. The semester culminates in a mock job interview where students are given the opportunity to practice the job acquisition skills.
