			Karla Aviles Karla Aviles is our next Stallion of the Week.  She was nominated by her teachers for having excelled in all areas, academic and behavior. Karla's goal is to pass to 7th grade and get a good career in life. Her hobbies are playing basketball or football. Karla’s favorite subject is Math. What Karla likes about her school is that she has lots of friends and that everyday she learns something new. The persons Karla admires the most is her mom and older sister. They are the ones that help, encourage, and cheer her up whenever she is sad.

	At Perkins Middle School, our mission is to provide all of our students with an opportunity to excel in an educational program that allows them to pursue a post-secondary education and/or career in order to become productive citizens of society.
	Vision:
	We believe Perkins Middle School has the responsibility of ensuring that all students receive a quality public education that develops their potential, independence, and character.  We believe that all students have the capacity to become responsible citizens and productive life long learners. We believe that by working collaboratively with parents and the community, Perkins Middle School can help all students achieve personal and educational success. We believe Perkins Middle School can join parents in developing our students' self-esteem, moral values, honesty, integrity and respect for self and others. We believe our students need the opportunity to develop mentally and physically through adequate and rigorous programs of study and appropriate physical challenges. We believe we can accomplish our mission through teamwork, dedication, and professionalism.
