Brownsville ISD supports three alternative secondary schools. The Brownsville Academic Center (BAC) serves students in an environment that stresses self-discipline and respect. The Brownsville Learning Academy (BLA) is a school of choice which provides individualized instruction and counseling for students experiencing difficulties in a traditional secondary school setting. Lincoln Park School, also a school of choice, features several self-paced individualized programs that connect academic/occupation skills to work-based learning experiences in the community.
