The Advanced Placement Program® is a cooperative educational endeavor between secondary schools and colleges. The Program has provided high school students with the opportunity to take college-level courses in a high school setting. Students who participate in the Program not only gain college-level skills, but in many cases they also earn college credit while they are still in high school.
Dual Language
Programs integrate language minority and
language majority students and provide
instruction in Spanish and English. Project
SOL identifies students at the end of
Pre-Kindergarten on six pilot campuses as
potential candidates for this program. The uniqueness
of this program is that students are also
tested for the gifted and talented (G/T)
program and whether they are officially
identified or not, all students in the
program will receive instruction in
interdisciplinary curriculum which is the
core curriculum for the district’s G/T
program.
Dual enrollment classes give students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
