Parental Involvement
![]() |
At Besteiro Middle School, we realize it's an awesome responsibility parents place upon us to educate and inspire their children. No teacher can compare to the power of a parent's teaching. That's why we believe in close communication with the parents of our students.
We strive to communicate regularly through progress reports and report cards, which are delivered every three weeks. Teachers also call home and send notes to parents, keeping everyone in the loop as to the progress of their student. A student's education goes the furthest when a triangle of learning occurs between the student, the teacher and parents. Each party must do their part in order for the student to be successful. What Can Parents Do? One of the ways parents can assist their child in their academic progress is by signing up for Gradespeed, a free web-based software that allows parents to track student grades and attendance.
