The Migrant Student Graduation Enhancement Program at the University of Texas in Austin will recognize 40 program participants from the entire State of Texas as Exemplary Migrant Students. Eight of those being honored during the 25th Migrant Student Recognition Ceremony on April 2, 2012 are BISD high school students. The students were selected for their academic achievement, participation in extracurricular and community activities, obstacles overcome and the students’ performance in regards to earning high school credits through distance learning.
