The Brownsville Independent School District Margaret M. Clark Aquatic Center is one of South Texas' premier state-of-the-art venues for aquatic activity The pool has the versatility to be configured for Interscholastic, Intercollegiate, Olympic, and International competitions.

This facility has hosted several top aquatic competitions including: The United States South Texas Swimming Championships, Southern Regional Swimming & Diving Championships for Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, U.I.L. 32-4A and 5A District Swimming & Diving Championships and now the U.I.L. Regional 8 Swimming & Diving Championships. The depth of the venue, lane lines, and water removal-return allows the center to be one of the fastest pools in the state.

Our main pool is a 50-meter stretch facility and is separated by a movable bulkhead by STARK industries.  The venue is a deep water facility that features:  Three (3) swim areas:  Two (2) 25-yard pools: the East pool has ten (10) lanes,  seven (7) foot-wide with six (6) lanes on a 500 square foot movable floor and the West pool has eight (8) lanes,  seven (7) foot-wide.  The final area, the dive well features four (4) Dura-flex 1-meter and one (1) Dura-flex 3-meter diving series (B) "cheeseboards" which are located at the West end of the pool with a depth of 12.7 feet. The 1-meter Dry-board and trampoline complete the competitive diving area.  Pool temperature is kept at eighty-three (83) degrees.   

The Aquatic Center's dual numeric scoreboards and OmniSport 2000 scoring and timing systems by Daktronics provides 16 lanes of electronic timing giving the Aquatic Center versatility to host large competitions. This together with a permanent stadium seating capacity of 850 and portable seating for 500 competitors makes the Margaret Clark Aquatic Center one of South Texas premier venue for aquatic activity.

Our adapted pool is a 20 yard stretch facility.  The venue is an adaptive aquatic shallow water facility that features:  A wheel chair access ramp, chair-lift, and descending stairs.  The pool has four (4) lanes and water depth varies from three (3) feet six (6) inches to a center depth of four (4) feet.  Pool temperature is kept between eighty-six (86) to eighty-eight (88) degrees.   

The Aquatic Center's educational classroom seats 60 persons and features  computer, and internet access. The Aquatic Center also maintains a complete video and text book library for aquatic education and recertification courses.

The Aquatic Center training room features Bowflex, Vasa trainers, and Nautilus fitness training equipment providing strength training and low impact exercise opportunities to its shareholders.
