Students in Delfina Cisneros' fourth grade class at Longoria Elementary sampled various foods eaten by Texas Native American tribes. Students enjoyed a variety of seeds, elk, beef, turkey, and buffalo jerky, corn, corn tortillas, pinto bean, clabacita guisada, nopalitos, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, papaya, oranges, peaches, and pecans. The students enjoyed the experience.
