Approximately 100 Porter High students and teachers participated in a Rachel’s Challenge Chain Reaction designed to equip and empower students to start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.  The program is based on the life and writings of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.  The goal is to increase personal power and self-esteem, to shift dangerous peer pressure to positive peer support, and eliminate the acceptability of teasing, violence, and other forms of oppression.
